A corporate website opened
the door. An e-commerce platform opened the market.
Woody Bugz — “World of Wooden Toys and Articles” — is the D2C e-commerce brand created by the same team behind Globaldeal International, our repeat client. After we built their corporate export presence, they came back with a new vision: sell wooden toys directly to customers across India. We built the complete platform to make that happen.

INFIJET DIGITAL Client
From export business to D2C brand — same client, new chapter
When INFIJET DIGITAL built Globaldeal International's corporate website and digital presence, the engagement extended far beyond the digital brief — covering export consultation, vendor visits, and the full marketing infrastructure for their wooden toys trade business.
With the corporate foundation in place and export queries starting to come in, the Globaldeal International team returned with a new objective: launch a dedicated D2C e-commerce brand to sell wooden toys directly to customers across India — under the identity of Woody Bugz, “World of Wooden Toys and Articles.”
This was a third commission from the same client — and the most technically demanding. A fully functional e-commerce platform, with a payment gateway, logistics integration, and 45+ products loaded and ready to sell, all built and deployed by INFIJET DIGITAL.
A complete e-commerce infrastructure — built to transact
- No e-commerce platform — no way to sell directly to Indian customers online
- No payment gateway set up for digital transactions
- No logistics or delivery partner integrated for all-India shipping
- 45+ individual wooden toy products to be listed, described, and priced
- No inventory management system to track stock and product availability
- Brand identity for "Woody Bugz" needed as a separate consumer-facing brand
- Entire purchase journey — browse, add to cart, pay, receive — had to work seamlessly
- Export query generation needed to continue alongside domestic D2C sales
A complete e-commerce stack — platform, payments, logistics, and products
Every layer of the e-commerce operation was built and integrated — the website, the payment gateway, the delivery partner, and the full product catalogue. Not just a storefront, but a fully functioning transactional business.
Platform & Technology — Website, Payments & Logistics
E-Commerce Website Design & Development

Razorpay Payment Integration
Full Razorpay payment gateway integrated — supporting cards, UPI, net banking, and wallets. Seamless checkout experience for customers across India, with instant payment confirmation and order processing.
ShipRocket Logistics Integration
ShipRocket integrated as the delivery channel partner — enabling automated order dispatch, real-time shipment tracking, and smooth delivery management across all Indian pin codes. Every order placed on the website flows directly into ShipRocket for fulfilment.
Products & Content — Inventory & Listings
Inventory Management System
Complete inventory infrastructure set up for 45+ wooden toy SKUs — product variants, stock levels, pricing tiers, and availability management. The backend was configured so the Woody Bugz team can manage products, update stock, and add new items without any technical assistance.
Product Listing & Content
All 45+ wooden toys listed with full product details — names, descriptions, specifications, pricing, category tags, and product images. Each listing was structured for both customer experience and search discoverability.
How we built a complete D2C e-commerce platform — end to end
Payment gateway, logistics, inventory, and storefront all need to work as a single system from launch day. We built each layer in sequence so nothing was left incomplete at go-live.
Discovery & E-Commerce Planning
Scoped the full 45+ SKU catalogue, product taxonomy (categories, variants, gift sets), target buyer profiles (Indian parents, gift buyers, school gift purchasers), and all payment and logistics requirements before any build began.
Custom Theme Design
A custom WooCommerce theme designed for the Woody Bugz brand — warm, natural aesthetic reflecting handcrafted wooden toys, with mobile-first layouts built for Indian smartphone shoppers browsing gift options.
WooCommerce Build
Full e-commerce architecture built on WooCommerce: product listing pages, category pages, individual product pages with image galleries, cart, checkout, customer account management, and order tracking.
Razorpay Payment Integration
Razorpay fully integrated with all Indian payment methods — cards, UPI, net banking, and wallets. Seamless checkout experience with instant payment confirmation and automated order processing on successful payment.
ShipRocket Logistics Setup
ShipRocket connected as the fulfilment partner — automated order dispatch, shipment label generation, real-time delivery tracking, and coverage across all Indian pin codes. Every order placed triggers the logistics flow automatically.
Inventory Loading & Launch
All 45+ wooden toy SKUs loaded with product descriptions, specifications, pricing, category mapping, and product images. Full end-to-end testing — browse to pay to dispatch — completed before launch day.
Tools & Platforms Used
45 wooden toys live. All-India delivery operational. Export queries coming in.
From the moment the Woody Bugz e-commerce platform went live, the complete purchase journey was operational — customers could browse 45+ wooden toys, add to cart, pay via Razorpay, and receive their order through ShipRocket anywhere across India.

What this engagement proves — for any D2C or product brand
Payment and logistics must be live before launch — not added later
A product website without a working payment gateway and delivery system is not a store — it is a catalogue. Razorpay and ShipRocket were both fully operational on day one so customers could complete purchases immediately.
Product taxonomy is both a UX and an SEO decision
How products are categorised, named, and described determines whether customers can find them and whether Google can index them correctly. Getting taxonomy right at setup avoids expensive restructuring later.
Mobile-first is non-negotiable for Indian D2C buyers
The majority of Indian online shoppers browse and buy on smartphones. A desktop-first storefront loses the most valuable traffic. The Woody Bugz theme was built mobile-first from the first wireframe.
A backend the team can manage independently is essential
Adding a new product, updating stock, or changing a price should never require a developer. WooCommerce was configured so the Woody Bugz team can manage all 45+ SKUs without technical assistance.
Export interest followed D2C launch — without targeting it
Export enquiries started arriving through the D2C platform without any international marketing. A professional e-commerce presence signals credibility to global buyers in the same way it does to domestic ones.
A repeat client relationship (3rd project) is built on delivery, not promises
Woody Bugz commissioned INFIJET DIGITAL for a third project because the first two delivered. Long-term digital partnerships work when each engagement produces measurable, real outcomes.
Common questions from product & D2C brands
WooCommerce or Shopify — which is better for Indian D2C brands?+
Both work, but WooCommerce on WordPress gives more flexibility for custom theme design, pricing structures, and integrations at a lower ongoing cost. Shopify has lower setup friction but higher monthly fees and less customisation depth. For a brand like Woody Bugz with a custom visual identity and specific inventory requirements, WooCommerce was the right fit.
How does Razorpay integrate with a WooCommerce store?+
Razorpay integrates with WooCommerce via a plugin that handles the full payment flow — card, UPI, net banking, and wallet transactions. Once integrated, every order placed on the storefront is processed through Razorpay with instant confirmation, automated order status updates, and transaction records in the WooCommerce dashboard.
Does ShipRocket deliver to all Indian pin codes?+
ShipRocket aggregates multiple courier partners and covers the vast majority of Indian pin codes. For a D2C wooden toy brand targeting buyers across India, ShipRocket's all-India coverage means no buyer is unreachable. Every order triggers automated dispatch, label generation, and real-time tracking notifications.
How do you manage 45+ product SKUs without it becoming unmanageable?+
WooCommerce's product management backend handles large catalogues well when properly set up — categories, tags, attributes, and variations configured from the start. For Woody Bugz, we structured the entire inventory system before adding a single product, so the team can add new SKUs, update stock, and change pricing independently.
Can a wooden toy brand start selling online from day one with no prior e-commerce presence?+
Yes — Woody Bugz had no existing e-commerce presence before this engagement. From discovery to a fully operational WooCommerce store with Razorpay and ShipRocket live was a single, structured engagement. The key is building all layers — design, payment, logistics, and inventory — simultaneously rather than in phases.
